Gratitude Friday

Gratitude FridayGratitude Friday is a weekly ritual that Nolwenn started in order to focus on all the small and big positive things that happened during her week. She invites us to join her; you’ll see how much being thankful can change your life. If you want to know more about it, read her introduction post.

So much to be grateful for or appreciative of this week!

  • People who understand the value of not keeping ancient secrets.
  • The loving support of my sister, my husband, and my friend Tammy.
  • Life insurance policies that have cash values.
  • Project Structure and my continued alignment with it.
  • The idea of “radical acts of self-care” as explained on a recent Inner Mean Girl 40-Day Cleanse video.
  • Smooth sailing in making my creative business official!
  • My to-do list being whittled down more quickly than I expected. You gotta love inspired action — how delicious it feels and how effective it is.
  • Wishcrafting Wednesday, because I love connecting with all these new people.
  • Good art time!
  • Loud music — and a tolerant husband!
  • Life is good; health is improving; attitude is improving immensely.
  • Jan, and all the ways that he helps me.
  • Lists, the only way I ever get anything done!
  • Having a scanner again. I’m so enjoying it.
  • The health of my family and friends.
  • The “Wouldn’t It Be Nice?” game.
  • Good rest, finally!
  • Daily walks with my husband.

One of the things I love about the practice of expressing gratitude and appreciation is that I have more to be grateful for or appreciative of. Some would argue that I’m merely noticing more things that were already there. Even if it’s the case that no new goodness is coming into my life (and I believe that it is!), I’m happier for noticing what I have, instead of noticing what I don’t have. Abe Hicks says that focusing on what-is brings more of what-is into your life. That’s not always a good thing, but I think in this case, it’s the perfect thing!

What are you appreciative of this week?
