1. In case you haven’t heard — We are moving to the southwest Los Angeles area soon. My husband got a job in El Segundo. He started yesterday and he really likes it so far. He started yesterday. It’s a 120 mile commute from here to there, so we’ll be moving as soon as we can find a place to live.
2. A fellow student in Kelly Rae Roberts’ Flying Lessons class is working on an interesting project: 21 Days of Gratitude. Because we are moving soon, I didn’t want to commit to it, but it’s probably not to late for you to! Actually, once we get in our new home and I get my studio set up, I’m going to do a similar 21 Days Project, but I’m going to work with one art technique for 21 days, learning it backward and forward. As you may have heard me talk about before, I don’t feel as though I’ve found my voice, my style, yet. I think working with one technique until I know it inside and out will help me find those methods that I enjoy the most and that will help me convey my vision the best. As it is, I’m a “Jill of all trades” — and a master of none, as the old saying goes. I love trying new things; I’m a bit of a technique junkie.
